I purchased and received the two disc NAS MyCloudPR2100. Attempted to do a firmware upgrade to the latest version and having problems as it will not do it.
I attempted to do the automatic update and it gets stuck at 99% downloading. I left it for 5 hours and it doesn’t upgrade
I had an online text chat with your support and they provided me with the 5.25.124 BIN file, but when I attempt to do a manual update and select the file, it says the file is empty. I am tech savvy so I know its not me that messed up.
I had an online chat with your support and they suggested doing the 40 Second Reset. But I have tried twice and the MyCloudPR2100 will not initiate a reset using the steps.
I have exactly the same issue - I am currently on 5.24.108 and I am not able to upgrade to 5.25.124. I have tried a full reset and both the regular firmware update process as well as “Update from file”. The download finishes 100% and it then goes through the upgrade all the way to 100% before it fails with either “Incomplete firmware download. Please check your device’s Internet connection and try again.” or “Download Failed” error message. Given I’ve downloaded the files numerous times and as well as using the regular update method this message is of course rubbish. I suspect the firmware file might be corrupt?
After reviewing our team has suggested following instructions:
Please reboot my cloud device
Perform a manual firmware update using firmware 5.24.108. Device will reboot after update, if it doesn’t, manually power it on after waiting five minutes of it being shut down on its own
Then update again using firmware 5.25.124 to complete the final update.
