Hi,
I have setup cloud access in my EX4 and I can connect to the storage from my Android phone when I'm in the same LAN as the storage (using the "WD My Cloud App"). The device was paired using an access code and I can see in the EX4 web console that it's connected.
However, when my phone is on 3G/4G,so no longer on local network, I always get the following error: "User does not have permission (403)". The NAT and firewall on my internet access router (Livebox from Orange) are configured to allow external access on ports HTTP and HTTPS to the storage.
I have contacted WD support, but dod not get any answer so far. Maybe this is a common issue and there is an easy solution ?
Thanks for your help |
Do you have “Auto” set for port forwarding, or are you manually setting ports?
“Auto”.
Apart from creating the user, a shared folder, and cloud share access code, I have not changed any parameters.
I also noticed that when on 3G I can enter the access code and I will see, in the web console, that the device is now connected. So seems to be an issue with the authorization to see the shares when not on public network.
So what I have done is the following:
- Create a new user
- Create a non public share and give read only access to that user (also tried read/write):
- In Cloud access, generate a code for that user and pair the device. The cloud device is then marked as connected. The cloud access status is: "Connected (Relay connection established) "
On local network, I can see all shares.
On 3G, I get this access error. I can see the EX4 in the device list, but cannot see any shares.
