Suddenly, when watching Europa League football yesterday, at my local bar, I discovered that I could not access the EX4. Came home to find this message, which I cannot understand since nothing has been altered. Any ideas?
I can access via the network, on its fixed IP, and can see files and add them, too.
Further:
I had added a new device three days ago, my Blackberry Z10, through the Dashboard remote access page, and could access the EX4. The Blackberry can now add Android apps and, with Snap, I added the Android WD app. It works . . .
But, as can be seen, something has stopped me accessing any device, of which there are three. Also, I can access my other NAS, a Seagate, through the same three devices. So, it has to be within the EX4 that the problem lies. All of my computers can surf the net, too. Therefore, all my routers, switches and modem work.
Fixed it myself!
Went into Network and checked the settings, which were correct. Saved them and the Dashboard reloaded, whereupon the Cloud devices showed up again. And after opening the App on the Z10, I was able to connect to each share.
Nothing is perfect!
Found out that the error had reoccurred. When trying to go through Network settings, and having saved them, received a 500 - Internal Server Error.
That has made me reboot the EX4, and it is now March and the OS firmware update that was promised regarded the ridiculous Global Access and Active Directory mismatch has failed to arrive, even when promised, pre-New Year that it would be soon. Don’t hold one’s breath.
It is possible your current experience since Friday is something different as the WD My Cloud / WD2go service itself is currently undergoing maintenance, and will affect some Users.
Regards,
Thank you, that’s what it was, because now it works and it’s like nothing happened!
