Can I Host A Website Using My WD 2100 PRO NAS

Im researching & trying to get up a website for my Videography & photography that I can host on my WD 2100 Pro NAS!

Is this even possible or do i just have to settle for a half ass website that i cant create thumbnails and play/download videos from.my McCloud or 2100 Pro NAS?

If yours is on OS3 I would say no.

Have you checked with the sub-forum for your device?

You may want to see the specific subforum for your device and use the forum search feature (magnifying glass icon top right) to see if there are similar past discussions about running a web server on the PR2100.

There may be third party OS5 apps you can run, like WordPress that can be used for blogging or producing web pages.

One could likely create their own custom website but that would require web design knowledge and skill, and because of the custom nature of the OS5 firmware one likely may need some programming skills to integrate a custom website into the My Cloud environment. Then one would, if they want their website public, have to configure their network firewall (and My Cloud) to allow broadband traffic to reach that web site. One should also review their broadband provider’s rules or EULA to see if it prohibits running websites from their end user’s broadband connection.
