Browsing Stored Files

I have set up my EasyStore Drive for regular backups of my C Drive. However in attempting to find the stored files in order to determine that they are correctly stored and possibly retrieve one or more of them I am puzzled by the directions I find in product documentation. Nothing I have tried based on product directions works to achieve what I am looking for. In fact the file folders are empty or not very descriptive or useful.
My storage is an attached 4TB drive. Apparently I am supposed to be able to browse it directly or by using the restore function to browse. Neither is productive.
So this device and it’s software are easy to set up and schedule but difficult if not impossible to verify.
Please advise.

Hi,
Did the Easystore drive setup WD Backup when you first connected it? If so, click on Support at the top of the View Topic screen, Click Easystore on the right of the next screen, and again on the next screen. Read the list of topics under Getting Started, especially WD Discovery, which provides access to WD Backup.

If you did not get started, with software, Select Downloads and work your way to the Easystore Product software list. Select Install WD Discovery for Windows and follow instructions. The setup takes quite awhile and often looks as if it stopped. Hang in there.

All is well now. The problem was that WD Backup was not backing up due to an unknown error resulting from an update that had never been installed in WD Discovery. Since WD Backup was not actually backing up although it said it did there was nothing there to browse. Thanks for your input.
