Hello, I have looked for information but I am not finding what I need. I would like for my WD MyCloud to automatically back up to a USB external drive. I created a job in settings but its not backing my data. Is there anyone out there who can point me in the right direction?

A couple of quick tips:

Use a drive that can store the same amount of data. My unit is 3TB, so I have a 3TB drive I wasn’t using, before. Though, if you have 1.3 TB is use, make sure the drive can hold that much.

The external drive is best if it’s self-powered (has a power solution)

Plug in the drive. Log into the MyCloud, go to Utilities and follow everything for Safepoints.
That’s all I have in my head without looking up paperwork at the moment. I hope it’s somewhat helpful.
