Backup Desktop Folders?

Hello,

I’ve never liked the “My Pictures” aspect of Windows, etc.  So I’ve always saved my images and other files in folders on my desktop

I would like to know if it’s possible to just create a new folder on my MyCloud Network Drive or will that screw things up?  There are 3 folders in there already.

Or can I use SmartWare to backup these folders on an ongoing basis (I’m always adding photos to them)

Thanks for any guidance,

WoodGlue

Hello,

You start a backup using WD Smartware and it will backup those pictures as well. You can also create a folder on the my cloud and copy the pictures manually.

Thanks Hamlet!

I’ll do that!

I’m having trouble knowing if My Cloud is working correctly.  When I browse the drive using Windows Explorer, there aren’t any files in the folders.  But on the SmartWave software, I think I’m showing that stuff is backed up.  Could you please explain this to me?

Thank you

OK, I opened up the MyCloud via the run:\WDMyCloud and it appears that the content is there.  None of my destop folders are listed.  How do I fix this?

Ok, please disregard the former post by me,  I can see that the backup is there on my Android phone when I browse using the WD appp!

Thanks!
