I have two EX4’s and I was checking them this morning. On September 11 one of them updated it’s firmware to 2.10.302. So I figured let me check the other one. No update available for the second one and when I check WD’s website the current version for the EX4 is 1.05.36. So can someone please tell me how one of my EX4’s got 2.10.302.
I think someone messed up or something funny is going on with my second ex4. I downloaded the current firmware from the WD site and manually installed the firmware. After a reboot i’m back to the correct verision. Auto update is now disabled on both. Someone should look into this if WD even monitors these forums.

There has been a rollout of OS 3 for the My Cloud series which is happening slowly to different users which have auto update enable. Take a look at this and this.
good grief; I’m foaming at the mouth for that OS update. Anything to make this dog of NAS better!
