Hello. I’m a Mac user trying to attach an 8tb usb drive to slot 1 in the back of my cloud mirror (gen2). According to the manual it should show up, but it doesn’t and the light turns red. I also use this drive in a Mac environment. Do I have to specially format a usb drive to work as an attached drive to my NAS? The manual says “The WD Mycloud supports the following formats for externally attached USB drives FAT 32, NTFS, HFS+J”. Are any of those MAC formats? Thanks for any ideas.
My USB drive says its format is ExFAT. I guess that doesn’t work for My Cloud Mirror (Gen2) ?
