I’m sure this has been covered but I can’t find a specific reference. After spending a couple of hours trying to set up Mycloud, I ran across a statement that implied that I could NOT use an AT&T router. Didn’t see anything in the instructions about this. ???,
That is because the installation materials that come with the device DONT say anything about it. We (the community of users here) have simply observed it many times. There is an issue with the autonegotiation method used by ATT U-verse routers/modems, and the MyCloud cannot negotiate a line speed, so it just sits there like a tub of lard.
A search of this section of the community site for “u-verse” will give you lots of horror stories.

The quick and easy fix is to put a gigabit switch between the mycloud and the router.
Lots of past dicussion on the ATT Uverse/My Cloud issue. WD even had to create a support article about the problem. The workaround is to use a network switch between the ATT router and the My Cloud.
HI! I had the same problem with my ATT home base router. I installed My Cloud in the Linksys extender model RE6300 and the problem was FIX.
