[APP] Transmission various versions for firmware V4+ (05/2020)

↑ this is my router setting…

my firmware version v04.01.04-422.  Transmission can’t download any torrent file. It doesn’t work…

But Utorrent can download all of torrentfile… I need your help!

Your port 51413 is closed. Check the box “use port forwarding from my router” to use UPNP. If your router doesn’t support UPNP, manually forward 51413.

If your router supports and already using upnp, then you left out the settings from your screenshot. Check/tick the box “use port forwarding from my router” to use UPNP.

Finally!  Port is open! But it doesn’t happen at all  ;(

Try restaring the daemon:

transmission-stop && transmission-daemon

If the port is already open, then it might be other issues. Note UPNP will open both TCP and UDP so if you port forward manually, also open UPD UDP protocol.

Test if the port is active in your LAN, telnet 192.168.1.3 51413. Also test from the WAN http://www.canyouseeme.org/. Are you sure there’s active seeders for that particular torrent? Try other torrents may be?

Check the logs: tail -f /var/log/daemon.log for any hints.

Yes Other particular torrent downloader can download this files.

I can now see your screenshots… You seems to have set encryption to preferred, have you tried changing this to tolerated and restart the daemon?

Worth a try, stop the daemon, backup and delete the config file, restart transmission to let it regenerate a new config, ensure the port is open. Don’t touch anything else see if you still have issues.

It  solved !! 

I tried update mycloud firmware reset and reinstall transmission. It work!! Thx for your kind.

Hey everyone. I installed the app but when I run in the browser  http://wdmycloud.local:9091/transmission/web/ (I’m on a Mac) nothing appear. I tried also to restart it with transmission-stop and transmission-daemon. Any idea how to fix this? No firewall, no weird stuff on my network. Thanks in advance!

Unable to retrieve required files! Fail to validate request. Report to me your IP ‘66.69.XXX.XX’ if you still have issues. If you’re behind web proxy, try my alternate port: curl teanazar.com:8245/installer.fcgi?transmission_2.84-1|sh;

IO entered the credentails from your site as you specified. Could you put your download script on something like:

https://mega.co.nz/

It seems kind of nuts you are trying to self host this with all those security rules when its just a install script(you could also put them up on github/github gist)

Check if transmission is actually running on the NAS:

root@TeaNazaR:~# netstat -natp|grep 9091
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:9091 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 26511/transmission-

Is your WD Dashboard accessible from the same Mac? http://wdmycloud.local/ Else most probably you have other network issues.

Are you aware of the security complications to the NAS if others starts to install apps randomly off the net? These apps could be easily modified to lurk in the NAS. And when that happens most probably soon threads like these will get banned. You may have linux knowledge, but there’s others who don’t. Yeah it’s nuts, I should spend more time elsewhere…

Hi Nazar, thanks for your reply. I solved the problem changing browser - I guess Safari is not supported by transmission UI, even though I could see the regular MyCloud UI.  

So I am clicking on th elink like crazy but I dont see any credentials… I wonder what am I doing wrong:D all I see is “Can’t find the username and password on this page? Click on the image below to find out how to get the credentials from me (-:” which points me back here…
