Hello community, I have just joined - mainly because as follows;-
I have been using My Passport on Vista quite successfully.
I have now purchased a new laptop with windows 10 and notice (when backing up ) a message “all files not backed up”. In fact NONE had been backed up.
I accept advice from the community to uninstall/reinstall and this didn’t help.
I also accepted advice to ignore WD software and backup manually - the drag method did not work, it just creates a link (my 80 year brain dosn’t understand), but simply using Copy and Paste worked fine.
WD previously displayed columns to view files etc etc, I cannot find these now.
Anyway it’s good to see I am not the only one suffering, thank you for reading.
Did you make sure to install the latest version of the WD Software you are using directly from the webpage?
The columns you are used to see is a Windows feature, when you open the drive window, click on the View tab above and select your preferred view.
