Active Directory disconnect

My PR4100 has been joined to my domain for over a year. A few weeks ago, I noticed backup problems and saw its Active Directory setting was turned off.

I have tried to turn it on and initially got an error (which I did not record, but which basically said it could not find the domain). Later attempts to turn it on just hang.
I checked the obvious join problems:

  • Time/TZ off
  • Firewall
  • DNS issue. Restarted service, joined using 2 DNS server IP addresses
  • Account issue, joined using different credentials.
  • New Group Policies. Disabled all new ones applying to servers.

I can ping and otherwise access the domain from PCs. 80+ PCs still working fine after 2+ weeks, so no other domain join/find issues.
I had a second PR4100, so attempted to join it to the domain and have the same problem. It will not join the domain.

I noticed the problem began around the time of the last firmware update 07-19-22.
I would appreciate some help.
If this is a known firmware issue, then a solution or ETA for firmware fix, as well as where to download older firmware versions for PR4100.
If it is not a known issue, then suggestions for solution/tests.
