Anyone know why i can’t turn on or do any adjustment to the public share.

Why would you need to turn “Public Access” on, it already IS on. The option is grayed out and non selectable. Generally the Public Share is locked via the Dashboard from being able to turn off “Public Access”. The Public Share folder is used by Twonky media server which is included in the WD My Cloud operating system.
However, one CAN disable “Public Access” on the Public Share through a bug in the Dashboard code. Simply give the Public Share a different name, and after the Dashboard gives an error the “Public Access” option becomes selectable and can be set to Off.
