I have a 2TB hard drive which I have been filling up with music and films for the past 4 months. I was just about to complete my last film when my hard drive disappeared from my desk top . Took both my laptop and drive into my local Apple store to check both out They said the Mac book pro was Ok and the hard drive seemed to be in tacked but thought the USB connection in the drive could be faulty. What I need to know is will I loose all my films and music which amounts to 1TB or is there a way this could be repaired or even transferred to another hard drive?
My suugestion would be to obtain a RMA for the drive or request a usb data cable from WD
