Warranty for 2TB Elements Hard Drive

My 2TB Elements Drive would freeze up and stop showing up for a while and now it doesn’t show up at all. I have tried using dfferent cords.

I would like to send it back to WD to check it over for Warranty but I don’t want to spend the money mailing it if there’s a chance it will get denied because of moisture damage? Does anyone know if they can use this as a cause for denying warranty?
