I just bought a brand new WD element 1 To. A friend of mine has exactly the same (1 month old) so I managed to compare the transfer between the 2 disk.
Well it was a bad idea because my element is slower than his Element : between 20 to 30 mo of difference !
Here the results :
I checked with CrystalDisk Mark 3.0.1x64 (All 0x00, 0fill)

The reading speed seems OK but the problem is when Writing…There is approximately 25 - 50 % of difference between 2 Elements…
When I transfer on his Element a big ISO file (14Go) it takes 2.30 mn and around 4 mn on mine…
His Element drops to 80mo/s and stabilize, mine drops to 45-50mo/s and stabilze.
i try to format and nothing change and I have no bad sector. I’m on Win 7
Well what do you think ? Do I have to RMA it ?
