I had a problem with a USB board that additionally encodes data. The part cannot be purchased officially. I bought a similar older part to no avail. Finally, I connected the disk to the computer (it can also be connected to an external box for 3.5 disks), but the data is encoded. So you have two options:
1, format the disk and lose the data.
or
2. Buy decoding software. This one worked for me (https://dmde.com/) costs about $20 for a while and you decode the contents of the disk. You need space on your computer for the decoded data. You can also vibrate the data you want to save.
DMDE doesn’t decrypt your data. It can handle 4KB sector sizes, though.
