I am currently using a Windows device to edit, and store photos. I am planning on purchasing a Mac product to replace the Windows device. If I have the WD My Passport Ultra to backup all of my photos and documents from the Windows device, when I purchase the Mac device will I lose anything when I have to reformat the Passport?
Some of the Mac are able to read external drives formatted as NTFS. However, the files will show as read only.
My recommendation on this case, is to prepare the drive to be use with both systems windows and mac as this will allow you to move your files from one computer to the new one.
