Will my WD TV Live SMP read my WD My Book Essential 3TB?

Hi all,

I’m new here, so forgive me if there is a post regarding this already.

I just purchased a WD TV Live SMP - one of the main purposes I was hoping to use it for is to watch movies off of my WD My Book Essential 3TB EHD. I am reluctant to open the SMP from the box though as I am unsure if it will support my drive (because it’s usb 3.0 and 3TB). 

Could someone please shine some light on this situation for me? Thanks so much for your help,

It will work great, I have two of these drives on my SMP using the front and rear port. No problems what so ever. Both drives are 3.0 USB and read fine.
