Will a WD RED drive installed into an external hd case function properly?

What the subject says… I know they are desiigned for NAS, but will they work as a regular drive as well?

Hi yes they will work as a regular drive but a lot of enclosures do not have fans to cool the drive so watch the heat on the drive.
