Western Digital RED HDD WD40EFRX is not recognized by the system anymore?
Out of warranty… The HDD suddenly stopped being recognized by the system.Not even through WD utilities. Western Digital Dashboard was installed on the system and did not warn of any errors?
WD Drive Utilities unable to detect the hdd and diagnose errors? The HDD seems to work … seems to rotate. Will it be possible to do any more tests? what suggestions?
Is the information in it lost or can it somehow be recovered? Please advise !

System? What system? The part indicates it’s a NAS drive. Was it in a NAS? A PC? A USB enclosure?

DC motor activity this does not translate to a working HDD.
Heads actuator system this is getting damaged first.

Buy a new HDD.
