My Book HDD suddenly started making this noise. So I disconnected it from my PC and reconnected, but the noise stayed + little light on front is flashing fast, and Windows doesn’t recognize my HDD anymore.
Please tell me this is fixable!
EDIT: So far I’ve learned it has something to do with the header or a stuck spindle? Does anyone recognize what the problem precise is?
Hello, it is possible that the My Book has hardware damage, to be sure you can try using another USB cable or another compatible power supply. You can also try running a test with DLG to see if it is recognized. If the problem continues you should contact tech support to replace it. Check the links below for more information.
