WD10EARS 1TB Green Caviar dying! Warranty claim RMA? PAKISTAN

hello everyone,

i bought this hardrive a year ago, it started corrupting data a month ago, HD tune pro found errors i wrote zeros on the drive using hardisk sentinel, now the drive performance has become too low, SMART health is not good,

i bought this from a shop here who gave me 10 months warranty which have passed but when i entered its serial no, on the WD site it says it has limited warranty till jan,2014. i tried to convince the shopkeeper but he denied to accept it. I am in PAKISTAN.

how do i apply for warranty claim directly to WD as an enc user? where would i have to send my drive for replacement?

I sent an e-mail regarding this issue to WD support but no reply so far

Yes, you should apply for a warranty claim directly with WD.  In their reply there will instruct you where you need to return the drive to.
