Hi all. So my hard drive has been working well for a year or 2 now whilst living in the UK with the standard power supply. Anyways so I move to the U.S and I decide to buy a new 3V power connector for my drive with the american socket. The drive will no longer power up with this new power adapter. The adapter has been checked with my Volt meter and it is working fine. Any ideas on what is wrong? Thanks in advance.

AIUI, all WD’s external 3.5" drives require a 12VDC adapter.
