WD TV vs. WD TV LIVE

Hi All,

I’m new to this and want to buy one but I can’t figure out the difference between the WD TV and the WD TV LIVE.  It seems that they both can play videos on a local USB connected storage or access stuff from the internet.

Can someone please outline the differences between the two.

One big difference is that WD TV does not support Netflix.

That list does not include the 2014 Model.   The WDTV Media Player (Personal Edition)  which as gderf correctly stated does not feature Netflix

Apart from that, as far as i can tell … they are identical (comparing both with latest firmware)  ie. The Personal Edition had Miracast 1st … but the latest SMP update included it as well.
