WD TV no longer recognizes media servers

i know this issue has been kicking around for a long time. I have been using my WD for over a year with great success. It continuosly found both my plex server and my logictech slim server each and every time. I have both servers running on a mid 2009 imac running os 10.9.x Mavericks. About a month ago I accessed my WD to watch something and there were no folders showing. When I went to attach the media server Plex it came up with a no server found and the dred red x. Neither the logitech nor the Plex server showed in the drop down box. After driving myself insane reading the result of google searches I contacted WD tech support. I noted that services like netflixs and my mac shares were all still available to WD so I was not completely out of the water. They recommended a netwrok reload which I did and the media shares reappeared. That lasted about a week when my house had a power outage and the modem/router reloaded and yes or course WD lost the ability to find and attach the media servers again. No amount of restarting/reloading/ has made any difference. I can still reach my movies and folders etc via the mac shares and still have no issue getting to netflix. It should also be noted that my squeezbox still has no issues finding its slimserver on the mac and it exists in the same room.

Does anyone have any idea?

Hello,

I recommend you try contacting support for assistance with this issue.

Contact WD

Hamlet, I will but their last advice was to reset my home network which worked once but never again. Thanks for answering though.
