WD TV Live media player (gen 2 ) firmware upgrade

I downloaded and update it on my WD TV Live media player  (gen 2 model:WDBABF0000NBK)  the „wrong“ version of firmware upgrade  Release 1.06.15. (Media player don’t work properly and don’t find some external WD HD).

I found and downloded version Release 1.01.77 (12/3/09). So I’m not able to update the „new“  firmware version.  There is no firmware update icon in Settings and it is not possible to upgrade from Settings menu (Message: no new upgrade found). Any help you can give would be appreciated.

The WDTV Live Streaming Media Player (aka the Live Gen 2) is part number WDBHG70000NBK and WDBGXT0000NBK.

Your player, WDBABF0000NBK, is NOT a Live Gen2, it is a 

WDTV HD Gen 2.
