WD TV Live can't see external HD connected to my PC

  • Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
  • WD TV live is connected to my router using an ethernet cable.
  • 1TB External hard drive is connected to the PC using USB cable
  • 1TB drive is shared with all premissions granted for all access in the network

When I go into videos form the WD TV live interface, I see my videos folders from internal HD on PC and also when clicking the folder optins I can see all folders that contain videos, howerver the drive letter for the external drive is not there, neither are any of my movies.

I havent used the WD TV live for a while, but last time I used it, I was able to see my external HD and all its content without any issues…not sure what has happened…

Does anyone know how to set it up so that it can see the external HD connected to my PC?

Thanks!

Hi there, try to reset your media player in case there’s something odd on the configuration, then double check the permissions and settings you have on the external drive. If you can see your internal drive then you should be able to see the external.
