Hi guys,
I am trying to set up my WD TV live (V 1.06.43_V) with my computer that I just reinstalled windows 7 ultimate on a HP desktop so that it can see my external hard drive files.
When I installed the CD software it acted like it did not install properly, however at first I could see media files, but not network shared external hard drives. A bit later it did see the network external hard drives.
Now however it no longer sees the network hard drives. I have looked at several you tube videos only to get more confused.
I have done this:
Network sharing: home network
Advanced :
Network discovery on
File & printer sharing on
Public folder sharing on
Media streaming on if I turn off wd does not see media servers
Home group connec Allow
Went to Window Media Player :
Stream: automatically allow devises
I don’y understand how for a time I was able to see the network external drives and now the network shares does nothing.
If anyone can offer some advice and tech help it would be greatly appreciated.
