WD software does not open upon plugging in my new My Passport Ultra 3TB

I just connected my new WD My Passport Ultra (3TB) to my Mac Book Pro. It shows up in the finder and also on my desktop. If I double click it, it opens but there is nothing saved on there. Also, I can’t drag anything in there or rename it etc.
In the manual it says that upon plugging in the My Passport Ultra the WD software should open and install the proper driver. That does not happen with mine.

Any ideas?

Hi, the My Passport ultra is pre formatted for Windows, if you are using it on a Mac you had to reformat it and the information that was there from factory is gone, however this can be downloaded. What is it that you are planning on doing?
