Purchased a WD Passport and actually backup up some files. I then disconnected for a while and reconnected…now the Backup Target (Passport) and Retrieve tabs are grayed out. Windows sees the device but SmartWare does not. Very frustrating. It worked once and I did see this problem before but cannot recall the solution. I tried (based upon other forum input) to reinstall the software to no avail. I do see the backup in WD Discovery as well.
Also, need to understand what program I can use to set the automatic back up schedule…thanks.
