I have 4 of the above hard drives which are about 12 weeks old and when I run the LifeGguard Diagnostics they all return ‘too many bad sectors’ can they all be faulty?
Hi there,
This is when you try a quick test or a full test on the devices? try to run the test using different cables or computer to see if the same thin happens it is highly unlikely 4 drives fail at the same time.
Hve done that and only one device failing awaiting replacement from WD
Bought a Synology 216play with two RED 3TB. One of the disk refused to come alive no matter what. Spinned up but died. Got a new on RMA. That disk crashed at formatting.
Searching on the web, these RED disk seems to be big time-thieves, many posts of broken sectors as in my case.
