Looks like WD released new 7200 RPM Purple drives, anyone know if it is worth going with 7200 for a surveillance system?
Wondering if the 7200 has a reduced life, louder, more heat, etc.

I believe all these drives go through testing to endure heat and different surveillance system working conditions.
all depends on whether your Surveillance System supports and take advantage of the higher RPM.
if it doesent, then it’s probably overkill and will make no difference.
