4TB Purple 5400 drive for archiving - yay or nay?

I’ve been looking for a big hard drive for a one-time archival of documents, photos etc. I usually use Red disks but I’ve seen brand new 4TB Purples for a good price. I know they’re targeted at cctv/surveillance systems, so should be able to withstand extreme temperatures. And the 5400 rpm speed isn’t a problem as it is for one-time only use. So are these suitable for my needs or should I just bite the bullet and pay the extra for the Red drive?
