I have bought 5 portable hard drives over the past 5 years. 4 of the 5 are western digital. Only 1 HD still works and its not WD. All theirs stopped working all within a month or less.
The latest one stopped working a little bit ago. Its not my computer because the HD i bought that is not WD is working just fine.
They both go with me from my workspace to my entertainment space when im off duty. Needless to say, this is going to be the very last WD HD i ever purchase again. I hope some representative sees this of WD and acrually does something about the ■■■■■■ drives that are being sold so soldiers stop getting rip off.
A quick google search shows im not the only ■■■■■■ getting ripped off by faulty drives so i doubt anything will be done and im sure this topic will get deleted.

How did your drives fail, I mean they all just stopped showing up or made any noises, and were all of them failed under similar conditions?
Have you checked the latest one in Disk Management or tried recovery software ?
