WD Password not showing in Finder or Disk Utility - and no LED

I purchased the ED Passport 2T external drive on 7/31/20 and partitioned 50% for ExFAT and 50% for Mac. I’ve been using it for several weeks to store photos and videos and suddenly this morning it’s not showing up in Finder or Disk Utility. And the LED isn’t on when I plug it in…although I do hear it wind up and then quickly wind down. Any suggestions would be welcome as the data on the drive it very important and it’s not backed up anywhere else.

And any suggestion on how to recover data would be welcome as well!

I am experiencing the same thing with my WD “My Passport for Mac”. It worked fine with my MacBook Pro and after setting up my photos on the 5TB drive and storing videos, it is not being recognized and I am unable to access all my photos. I am really concerned I am going to lose them. The MacBook Pro is new (2019) with 2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 and 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4. This is very frustrating.
