I have a wd passport 3tb. It was working fine with my laptop until recently. It is getting detected. Able to unlock it. But after unlocking when i try to opn it, the system hangs and shows not responding. Tried changing cable but in vain. I have one more my passport ultra 1tb which works fine. Kindly help

You can try and connect the drive on a different computer and if the drive doesn’t show up after changing the computer and the USB cable then contact data recovery company to get your data.

It seems that drive is affected by virus and that’s why when you connect it with the laptop it hangs your system. I suggest you to scan your drive with the help of antivirus, hope this will make your drive healthy again.
