WD Passport Help... Mac

I am having trouble transferring files from one external drive to another. I am using a Mac. Every time I transfer a file, it says “cannot transfer file it is in use.” I have restarted my computer and turned everything off and nothing is working. Please help!

When did this issue start to happen? Are you able to move files inside your WD Passport to different folders or add new files?

Thank you for responding. I just purchased the Passport. I can move files into my own drive but not outside of the drive.

Try formatting your hard drive if it’s new and you still have access to your files somewhere. If the issue persists after discarding a file system corruption issue (By formatting) then I’d suggest replacing the unit.
