I have 4 passport drives
2, Two TB,
1, Three TB
1, Five TB
I use the two TB DRIVES as archive storage for my 60,000 photos. One of them has only been used five times in two years.
The single 3TB drive is my Time Machine and is used daily.
All three drives are bricks right now.
They just stopped working. My system can see them, but if I attempt to select a file using the file manager or even running an ls -al from the command line, the entire system freezes.
Surface scan is so slow (down to 256 blocks a minute ) it could take a century to scan the drive.
The fourth drive runs perfectly btw, from all my
USB ports
I AM SO PISSED OFF WITH THIS PRODUCT that I will never buy one again.
I’ll just purchase a chunk of cloud storage to hold all my photos,(if I can ever recover them)
