So I recently had a power cut. Once everything was back on, the EX2 ULTRA has just not worked! Whenever I have been lucky enough to get into it, the dashboard is painfully slow, and transferring files to it are borderline impossible. the WD drives used to be so good. I got the EX2 ULTRA after having and hating having the MyCloud Home because I found I wouldn’t be locked into using WD Discovery, and figured it would work just as well as the previous drives I’ve had (and still have and work really well).
Now it’s showing the same ■■■■-poor symptoms of the MyCloud Home after only a few days! All lights are solid state blue, yet when I try transferring content to the drive, the content barely transfers (the speed is in only the kb and then gets to a certain point and just crashes.
I managed to get into the dashboard once, but it was slow to the point of being unusable. WTF has happened to Western Digital stuff to make them so ■■■■ awful?
Also if anyone can offer a fix, it would be great.
