WD Mycloud doesn.t work with windows media player

I have a mycloud 4TB. While I can play mpeg video with my windows media player it does not work when I open videos in WD Mycloud.
Is ther a solution to this or am doing something wrong

Does this happen with all he media files you try to playback?

Are you accessing media via the Twonky DLNA server, or via a file system?

‘It does not work’ In what way does it not work? Does it give an error message?

At Armak: No it only happens with the mpg files.
Mov en mp4 files work fine with the windows media player, but not the mpg files.
Although when I open the mycloud in my filesystem the mpg files work fine also.
So it hase to do with connecting from the internet.

I don’t exactly know what the Twonky DLNA server is, but I assume its the standard way of connecting with the Mycloud by the internet. In that case it is the same answer a @ Armak.
If I connect via my filesystem, it works good.
If I connect by internet with te mycloud the error message is in dutch but in english it looks like: there has occured a problem during playin this file in windows media player.

When you say ‘connect by internet’, do you mean connect remotely, i.e. outside your local network, away from home?
If so, what program are you using to access your MyCloud? How are you connecting to your MyCloud?

Connect by internet means away form home, outside my local network.
