Hi,

My Passport Ultra 1TB HDD has become very slow from the past few days. I bought it 2 months back and it was functioning very well with average data transfer speed of more than 20mbps. Suddenly this speed has dropped to around 70kbps. i have almost 500GB personal data in it which now i am not able to access with ease. I guess it would take me months to back up my data. Need an assistance on this.

Have you tried changing the USB cable? I’d also recommend running a diagnostic test using WD Drive Utilities.

here is the answer to your slow response issue. Relo-list module needs to be cleared out so that the data can be extracted.

I have tried changing the data cable and tried the diagnostic test as well. The output of diagnostic test was “Test failed… too many bad sectors detected”
