when i first got the external HDD i plugged it in a mac then reformatted it from the disk utility. then when i plugged it in the windows it seems to be detected but nothing shows up on my computer.
please help me out here.
Windows doesn’t read a drive formatted for Mac without software most of it paid. See if this will help http://www.catacombae.org/hfsx.html I don’t know much about Macs.
