I’ve WD My Passport 1TB. I use password to lock it and i forgot the password. So i use Erase Drive option which appears when you hit wrong passwords more than 5 times.
This option opened WD Quick Format Tool and start processing. But after several minutes, now it is not working accurately. It takes time to appear in system and password is still there.
I also use WD Drive Utilities to format it, but it gives error.
Please let me know how i can format it and use it again.

Have you tried WD Security to erase the data from the drive by entering the wrong password more than 5 times?
You can try using the WD Security to erase the drive and try to make the drive accessible again.
