Hi
I have a problem with my WD My Book Studio 3TB powering off on it’s own.
It is connected to an iMac running Big Sur and when the computer goes into sleep mode
overnight the My Book power turns off and i have to pull the plug out and restart the drive
which will then work so it seems like a power issue with the drive. I have several other drives connected
and they are working properly with no power issues at all.I have run the WD drive utilities software and it reports it passes the smart status test and also the quick drive test but when i run the complete drive test it says test failed.
I am just wondering if this is the first signs that the drive is starting to fail as it is quite old.
I have no other issues regarding the iMac power wise.It just seems to be the My Book and i don’t want to have to keep taking the power lead in and out of the drive to power it on every morning.

Any advise would be gratefully received
