I recently won an eBay auction for a WD My Book Studio 3TB Mac External Hard Drive Storage USB 3.0. I did not realize when bidding that this hard drive is for a Mac. I read on other sites that I can reformat it so it will work with my Windows 10 computer. What do I need to do to get this to work with my PC. Will it work as it is when I receive it?

I contacted the seller who says the following: Hello, this will work with pc windows.

I take this answer as saying that it will work as is when I receive it. Is this vorrect or will I need to reformat?

Assuming the hard drive has no physical damage or defects (eBay is not an authorized retailer/reseller), then yes; you would only need to reformat the unit using Disk Management.
