I bought the My Book last Thanksgiving and it was running fine and fast, and then last week it starting to run slow when moving files over and editing file names inside the Hard Drive and now it just doesn’t pop up anymore and when it does it says Local Disk and does not allow me to see what is inside the drive?

If you connect the drive to another computer do you encounter the same issue?
I have the similar issue. It didn’t start getting slow or anything like that, just all of a sudden It doesn’t show in My computer. It shows in the Device manager as well as the computer acknowledges the connection. I just can’t get into it.
It does the same thing on the desktop and my laptop
I am having the same problem with my WD 1 TB My Book Home. Looking for a solution but haven’t found any that work yet.
