Hi,

Help:(

Had my WD My Book for several years from new.

Yesterday it worked, today nothing.

If I reconnect the power supply it blinks white every 2 seconds, if I also connect the FireWire the light goes out.

Whatever I try to do it refuses to power up.

Attempted using different power cords to isolate the problem, but the same thing happens.

If you have any suggestions on this then please let me know.

Currently the 1TB data is lost.

Hello, 

Welcome to the WD Community.

Have you tried using the drive with a different set of cables? 

If possible try using a USB cable.

The USB option hasn’t work as I expected either.

Tried all variations with both cables and still the same.
