.WD Hidden Files Directories

NFS is typically another method (like using SMB) of accessing a network attached storage device. If I remember right on the My Cloud the NFS folder is creating a symbolic type link (or something similar) to the /DataVolume/shares folders. As such if you remove a file from the NFS shares it will remove them from the actual file location in the DataVolume location.

The information provided previously on performing a search using SSH can help in finding which files/directories are using the most data. From there you can investigate the directories using WinSCP to see what is happening with the files/data and if any hidden folders (indicated with a period before the folder name) may be storing lots of data.

WinSCP does have a file search feature. And using “masks” one can search for specific files. See the WinSCP help (or the mask hints link on the search dialog box) for more information on how to search for files in WinSCP.
